Command key worn through to the white underlayer

The black coating in the center of my left command key has worn through to the white underlayer.

I use that key a lot with my thumb while reaching for other keys in the top left corner, so the side of my fingernail is cutting into it.

Enough to have literately dug a hole into that key!

Same issue as stated by someone else in a previous post here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250253504

Notice your A, S, and C keys as well.

I have had the same issue with A, E, S keys (but eventually worse than the A key on yours) on a 2012 MacBook Air and a 2016 MacBook Pro after 2 or more years of use. An Authorized Service Provider replaced the keys on the 2012 model for no charge when I traded it in and for a small fee on the 2016 model while I still owned it.
