I got an iPod in 2009 and opened an Apple account under my email that I had at the time. Then, 10 years later I bought a MacBook and provided my current, correct, email address. Now I have two apple ID's. If I purchase apps or music, my receipt goes to an email address I no longer have access too. I have dealt with this for over 2 years. Does anyone know of a solution?
This “workaround” all based on the assumption that you’ve purchased a lot of music that you simply don’t want to walk-away from.
It also asumes that you DO have access to the AppleID of your “music” account.
Apple accounts can’t be merged.
However, AppleIDs CAN be changed.
So at the high level:
1) Change your music AppleID to an e-mail address which you DO control.

Then if desired:
2) Set up “Family Sharing” between your “new music” AppleID and your “everything else” AppleID.
Hopefully, someone else here might chime-in w/ a better alternative. 🤞
