backup taking over 10 hours

I've never backed up my phone by some total oversight. Now trying to back it up and it's been over 10 hours and still says "backing up...for approximately 2 hours" Is it broken?

iPhone SE, iOS 14

Thanks Rob,

So, it finally did back up. It took about 17+ hours to complete even though I kept getting the message that it would be about 2 more hours. Thanks for the above links. I also heard that there was a major slowdown of large sectors of the internet yesterday and that may have been part of the problem as well.
