does 5g work on esim for ipad

I have an iPad mini 6th gen that supports 5g and right now I have it on an e sim. My e sim plan supports 5g but the mini is only connecting to LTE. Is 5g supported on iPad with e sim?

Yea, the eSIM supports 5G, IF your service plan supports 5G and you’re connected to a 5G network. If for example you’re connected on some networks 5Ge, that is just LTE 4G with some 5G updates applies.
