Where are all my gmails. I only have 220 when I signed in today. They are not in the trash or spam

What is going on with Gmail? I signed in and only had 220 of my most recent emails. This happened on my iMac. A couple of months ago it happened on my iPhone, but all of them were on my iMac so I just thought it was fluke of an iPhone issue.

Help! Some of these were saved from a last year!

I would try going to https://mail.google.com/ in your webbrowser to see if the mails are still in the account

if so then I would remove the gmail account and add it once more

if they are also gone from googles website then I would contact google

While I can’t offer a solution I can confirm that something similar happened to my (little used) gmail account, but for me it was all of my gmail account which disappeared. I logged into browser gmail and they were gone there too. I couldn’t find any explanation for it. Since then it is receiving emails ok.
