How much does a battery cost for Macbook pro 2018

i have a Macbook pro 2018 version. i have cycle count shown as 699. in the battery information it shows service recommended

2 questions i would like to ask

1) is it necessary to change the battery now or will it last as its been 3 years for the laptop.

2) what would be the cost of the battery that would help me to decide

Battery life indicator ... Any hints? No battery level indications over time and supposedly last charged next year some time!! System date and time are still accurate. And although last charged to only 56% (reportedly), current battery level is 88%. Will turning it off and on help?

MacBook pro 13" A1502 Early 2015 Retina Battery issues Hi everyone. My MacBook's battery swell 3 years ago and i had it removed; but as i couldn't find the original battery, i had to keep going on without battery and as you know it runs really slow... I've showed it to apple store and other computer services. the problem is that they say even with the battery it works the same!!! still too slow!! they say it's a Motherboard problem because it gets too hot. but they can't find out the problem. Could anyone help please? i thought with a new battery it fixes but seems not to be true....

Hi,

If you don't use your MacBook Pro outside home or at no outlet places, you don't need to replace battery I think, though if your battery is swelling, you'd better replace it.

thats a good point. actually my work environment is a mix.

on other hand do you know what does it cost to change a battery. rough idea...?
