how to allow port 10080 using safari in iOS 15

We're using port 10080 on our private web app internally. Before updating our iPads, the web app was working fine. But after updating to iOS 15, we couldn't open the web application anymore. The question here was, how do we allow port 10080 in safari from the iPad/s?

TCP port 10080 is targeted by security attacks, and current web browsers are increasingly blocking access to that port.

One alternative is to move the web server to a different port.

Right now, that port relocation or maybe setting up port forwarding through the target web server or through some other server to allow indirect access to TCP port 10080 on the target web server is about the only way you’ll get to TCP 10080 from pretty much any current web browser.

Hello Brusot,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

If we understand your post correctly, after updating your iPads your private internal web app isn't working anymore and you want to know how to allow port 10080 in Safari on the iPads. We'd like to see if we can help!

Are the iPads running Safari on the same network as the server? Your computer must be on the same network as the server. If so the issue is with the server not with your browser. The server must be serving something on port 10080 if you want to view it with Safari.

Yes, you said it right. connecting to our private server at the same network with port 10080 was working with iOS14.

Since iOS 15 released, we should plan to have a mass deployment of iOS 15 to our 254 units.

For the benefit of the doubt and to avoid stop operation, we should try it first for 3 to 5 units only.

We updated 3 units of iPads (1iPad mini and 2 iPad Air) to iOS15 and it turned out that it could no longer open the webapp that contains port 10080. Note: other servers with different port was able to open.
