Airplay 2 doesn’t work. I can mirror screen and sound to Apple TV but it cuts the sound off the iPhone so I can’t stereo my music or YouTube or movies. Both the tv and phone are airplay 2 compatible, uptodate and I’ve restarted both switched them off several times to no avail. Can anyone please help me?

Please detail your audio setup a bit more.
With AirPlay, streaming a video sends both the visuals and the audio to the same device. It is then up to the Apple TV box where that audio goes. By default to wired speakers (built-in TV speakers or connected sound system), but pre-configured bluetooth or AirPlay speakers are also possible.
