AppleTV free trial not working

Hello,

over the past 6 months, my household has purchased 4 new Apple devices, two computers, an iPhone, and an iPad. With each of these devices, Apple promotes a 1 year free trial of AppleTV. These devices AppleI Ds are all in a Family together, and as I understand it, per each Family only one free year of AppleTV can be redeemed.

This trial does not work at all. It was working for a few months, and now it prompts us to pay. I find this really odd. Also as a side note I tried to chat with Apple about this and and the Advisor was really unprofessional, clearly copying and pasting a script and not even bothering to remove quotation marks. He also made me wait quite a long time between responses so I had to end it.

Only one offer per Family, regardless of number of devices purchased. Four devices or one device, it is all the same for this promotion. Use any one eligible device in the family for that, but the first redeemed one counts.

The offer must be claimed in the Apple TV app within 3 months after first setting up the new device.

It was working for a few months, and now it prompts us to pay.
  • Does this happen for all the devices, all the accounts of the group, and for any Apple TV+ content?
  • See if the subscription is still listed as active on the account that redeemed. See your subscription overview - Apple. If the subscription was canceled, then the remainder of the offer was forfeited.
  • See if the selected content title is part of Apple TV+. Other content in the Apple TV app would not be covered by the subscription, and may prompt for a payment not related to Apple TV+.
  • See if the device used when prompted, is still signed in to that device and/or app, with an account that is part of the Family Sharing group. Especially for Macs, the TV app needs its own additional sign-in (menu Account).

All the devices started their trial just a day or two after purchase. Secondly, each device including the Macs ask to pay for the subscription, as if the trial has expired or isn't recognized. Nobody cancelled or terminated the trial subscription. I am really starting to think it was some kind of a glitch, which is really unfortunate.. All devices are also still part of the Family group.
