Frozen screen
When I open my computer, the screen shows where I can choose the user but my cursor is just the round pinwheel. I can move it but it won’t do anything. It is like the screen is locked. Help

You can always force quit the Mac holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.
Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac - Apple ...
Reboot as normal and test, if the same issue try a safeboot to clear cache files.
