My macbook air m1 (BigSur 11.6) doesn't see my android device. I can transfer files using Android File Transfer but I need to use it in android/visual studio to debug mobile applications. Unfortunately my device isn't recognised. My device has micro-usb and I use the official apple usb-c to usb 3.0 adapter in which i plug my micro usb cable.

Debug mode is necessary but most if times when an Android device is connected via USB it's for charging. I then need to pull down the menu on top of the home page with the notifications and select "data transfer" mode. Is this the issue?
I did a test here (MacMini M1 with USB to USB-C as I have a Motorola G 5G): USB 3.0 to USB-C cable: failed; USB 2.0 to USB-C: success.
Could be the cable?

I did turn on debug mode and also changed from USB charging to file transfer.
The cable works with an iPhone
Also my USB3 to USB-C works with all other peripherals.
Mine works as well, it sees my android phone while using Android File Transfer and it is ok. But the thing is I need to use my device as a debugging tool to test my mobile applications in real time, but the device isn't seen by the Android/Visual Studio.
