Hacked iPhone 8 Plus

I'm having people call me telling me they are receiving strange calls from i.e. amazon wanting account info, or instagram asking me if I requested an account password change. They said it sounded strange so they recalled the number and it wasn't amazon, it was me.

Now, my iPhone will not even send a quick text without it telling me unable and I have to try to resend one or two more times.

I have restarted it several times but there is no change. It is current with apple updates. Over night it is now sluggish on many APPs.

I use my phone for stock buy/sell, banking each day throughout the day as I work. I have stopped since this.

Am I being hacked? If so, what do I do to fix this or how do I stop it?

While it’s unlikely that your iPhone has been hacked, we’d recommend the following to make sure your iPhone and Apple ID are secure: 



If the issue persists, connect with your carrier to let them know what’s happening. They should be able to look into this issue further with you.
