ios 15 not remembering account passwords

Is anyone having issues with iOS 15 or iPadOS 15 not remembering account passwords in settings. I am having to log into my outlook.com and other accounts daily now vs ever few weeks. This is happening on my iPhone 13 (but started on my iPhone XS Max after upgrading to 15 before my new phone arrived) and it is happening on a new iPad Air that I installed fresh, no restore from backup.

Really annoying.

I have exactly the same issue!

My company uses Exchange 2013, no changes made to the Exchange server and since upgrading to iOS 15 email app at least once a day is asking for a password. This does not appear to cause any issues for any non Apple Users or those with older iOS versions.

The problem is, my domain account is highly privileged meaning when the wrong password is provided 3 times, the account is locked out until manually unlocked. When my account has got locked out for 2 days in the row, a security investigation was launched in to reason why the account was locked out yet again and whether the company is being attacked. This has taken up business time and resource to look in to an issue caused by an iOS Update, totally unacceptable

This is causing my account to be locked out EVERY SINGLE DAY stopping me from being able to work!!!

Yes, I’m experiencing the same issue. When I launch the Outlook app, I have to re-add my account and sign in. I stay signed in for about 60 seconds, and then I’m prompted to sign in again. My company uses Authenticator, so it’s more than just a sign in and makes it almost impossible to use the app. This started after I installed iOS 15 on my 2020 iPhone SE.

100%. This is getting so irritating. 4 passwords out of 200 in my passwords section. I’ve done every fox online I could find. Resetting phone. Signing out of iCloud, iMessages, facetime, etc. restored phone…nothing. It not only erased the passwords on my safari, it also erased most of my app logins (but not all strangely). I’ve been loyal to iPhone and apple for a decade but my Next phone will be android.

No, that isn’t it. I know what an App Specific Password is, and this isn’t necessary here. One of these is an Outlook.com account, but when I log in via the Accounts section in iOS Settings, it asks for my 2FA, which is correct. App specific passwords is only for apps that do not understand 2FA. I’ve been doing this for YEARS - since at least iOS 8 or so, ever since the iOS account settings understood 2FA. It has always worked. It STILL works, except for the part where it forgets way WAY too soon, and this only started happening last week. Which was when I upgraded to iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.

I am having exactly the same issue since upgrading to iOS 15. My work Exchange account is prompting everyday for me to log in. I put the password in and it’s fine. Calendar is the same but obviously it also comes from Exchange. I had none of these issues before IOS 15. I have decreased my account for Exchange on my phone. No difference. I have checked time zones. No difference.

similar issue here. standard imap account (not exchange). vendor servers changed, so the incoming and outgoing host changed. iphone and ipad paired with icloud. deleted imap account from both devices. upon trying to newly add the once-existing account into the ipad with the new host info - the entered password is immediately forgotten during verification. re-entering the password gets as far as the 1st sync with the imap server in the mail app, then outgoing password is lost. rinse and repeat.
