Dings and beeps are TOO LOUD!!!

Suddenly, the dings/beeps after everything I do are unbearably loud! I cringe when implementing any action that will result in that most hated sound, DING! DING! or, DING! DING!DING! sometimes it’s only one, but mostly 2’s and 3’s. Why? Help, Please, if I have the Plantronics bluetooth on, my ears are ringing for hours after the dings. What can I do to stop the sound? I have told the Iphone xs that I do not want sounds after pressing keys, yet, in my ear I hear the LOUD Dings after every press. It happens after almost everything I do. Anyone else?
