iPhone 13 Pro won't play through car USB

My phone will connect to my Camaro with bluetooth enough to mess up my phonically and play announcements over the car speakers (which is REALLY annoying) but won't play music thru the bluetooth. Hopefully that will help some people who are driving in silence though.

It's a lighting to mini-audio jack cable that worked in my Camaro except that it doesn't charge. You'd hardly notice the headphone jack input next to the USB plug if you didn't really look hard but of course every car and phone and system is different. It's hard to imagine that they could make everything any more incompatible if they were actually trying to do that as their only goal. I'm having this issue on my 2014 Chevy equinox after updating to 15.1.1. It no longer works with my 12 pro, 12 pro max & 13 pro max. I've called Apple too about this issue. Still works on my 6s+ with iOS 14.

Yesterday i updated my iPhone 13 pro to iOS 15.2. I hoped that the problem of having no sound via the lightning cable would be fixed. No such luck. My car software connects to the phone, shows the music that should play but there is no sound. I tried a few options given in this thread but nothing worked. This is starting to get annoying. Is there anyone with a good idea?

I had the same issue as one of you previously where I had a iphone xr and i switched to the 13 pro max and the aux wouldnt work in my 2010 gmc terrain. after i updated to 15.2 and turned on, then turned off eq.. it WORKED! so thanks to whoever said it first lmao

Turning off the EQ does not fix the problem. The latest upgrade that was sent out has removed the ability to play music through the USB port in my car. It doesn't even recognize that it is plugged in. I attached my Company issued iPhone that hasn't been upgraded yet and it recognizes the phone and plays music through it just as before.

Turning EQ off do not work for me. For some reason mine will work part of the time. It will always connect but 99% of the time if I want to play a different song I have to select from my phone then it’ll play thru AUX. NEVER had this problem with my old 7Plus.

Turn off EQ!!!

Settings —> Music —> EQ —> off

That’s so weird cause my music tab looks different then yours yet we have the same phone with the same version of iOS. Yes Iv restarted it so many times Iv lost count. So frustrating!

Thank you so much! I was having trouble playing IHeart radio through USB on my iphone 13 pro. No problems playing through Bluetooth. I tried turning EQ off and it works like my iPhone 12 did!

So I have an apple 13 pro Max and I'm having the same issues..also idk if anybody else's phone had this problem or not but my phone has no iccid... This thing is getting to be so frustrating!!

I tried that before i saw it earlier on another post but nothing is working.
