Importing MP3 to iTunes

I’ve tried that. It will automatically update. Apple is firmly blaming users, but it’s not user error. After the update to iTunes a few weeks ago, iTunes stopped accepting mp3 files.

Convert it to m4a. That worked for me. If that doesn’t work, continue blasting Apple until they finally investigate the issue.

Oh, and don’t bother reaching out to support. It’s been over 14 days, and I’ve heard nothing. The support Twitter wasn’t useful either.

I have the same complaint as demarderozan above. The above steps you have suggested are not working. The files are MP3 and are on my laptop. Is there anything else you can suggest please? Ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes twice and the same thing happens.

I have been through those steps already with no result and ive installed itunes via the Microsoft Store as i have a Microsoft Laptop. Is there a way i can wind back itunes to a previous version and update it from the Apple website instead?

Follow the steps below.

If you are using iTunes in a non-English language and you downloaded it directly from Apple, then if you haven't already done so, update your iTunes to 12.12.1.1, which was released three days after the previous update. You can check for updates by clicking on Help/Check for Updates.

If you obtained your copy of iTunes from the Microsoft Store, all updates are automatic and you will not see any option to update.
