I changed my password to alpha and now can’t change it back to numerical. Having an alpha password is so inconvenient and desperately want a numerical one back. When I go to change my password I never get the options of all the types of password types please help.

How is that even possible that you are not able to change?
Settings > Face ID & Passcode > [Enter your old Passcocde (Alphanemeric)] > Change Passcode (Scroll down to get this)
If you are not able to see this then please check your Screen Time Restrictions.
