There has been a change at Google.
If you guys are using their Home page for searches,
They are no longer recording history unless you are signed in at their site.

+Web History only records your web activity while you're signed in to your Google Account. You'll know that you're signed in if you see your email address in the top right corner of your Google homepage. If you visit webpages or perform searches without signing in, they won't be recorded.+
+Web History doesn't record the addresses of webpages that are prefixed with
https://.+
+Web History can record both your searches on Google properties and the addresses of pages you visit. It only records searches made on certain Google properties such as Google Web Search, Google Images, Google News, Google Product Search, Google Video, Google Maps, Google Books, and on particular Google domains. If you're using other Google products such as Google Reader, or if you're searching on some country-specific Google domains (such as Google.ae), your searches and clicks won't be recorded.+
+To configure Web History so that it also records the sites you visit, you need to use your Google Toolbar. If you enable Web History in Toolbar, the Toolbar will send URLs of pages you've visited to Google to be stored with your Google Account. Learn more.+
+You also need to make sure that your web history isn't limited to searches. To expand your web history, click the Expand your web history link at the top of your web history page.+
So, if Google is not keeping history, it will not make suggestion, eh?
Just a thought.
