I bought a CD released in England. Is there a way to import it to iTunes and play it on my phone?

The album is One More Midnight by Hal Ketchum. Some songs were released in the United States, but the actual album was only released in England. Big fan of the artist and really enjoy the album. I would love to add it to my iPhone/iPad playlist. Is there a way to change the region?

Thanks,

Bernie

Bernie,

When you say "I bought a CD" do you mean that you already have the physical CD in your possession? If so, go ahead and use iTunes/Music to rip it.

Audio CDs (unlike DVDs) do not have region restrictions.

Yes I own the CD, but it is not available in our region. iTunes doesn’t recognize it.

Bernie, Depends what you mean by "doesn't recognize it."

If you mean that your computer does not know there is a CD in the slot, then go to the document that I linked and follow the section on "If you have trouble importing..." (Tip: Make sure you know whether the problem is only on this particular CD, or occurs on all CDs.)

Or, if you mean that iTunes sees the CD but just displays "Track 1," "Track 2," etc., instead of track names, then right-click, Get Info, and type in the correct name for each track.
