Verify code goes to old iPhone

Help I’m trying to update my apps but when it sends a verification code, it goes to my old iPhone 6s which has my old Apple ID on but I’m using a new Apple ID but the verify code goes to my old phone? And the trusted phone section has my new phone on it but it gives my old phone number so I think my old Apple ID and new one have somehow merged?

iPhone XS, iOS 14

It is not possible to merge Apple IDs.

- Use a Trusted Device: Mac, iPhone, iPad, Watch. Code is either generated automatically or manually using Settings on the Trusted Device.

- Text or phone call to a trusted telephone number (also landlines).

- Get a code from an Account Recovery Contact --> https://support.apple.com/HT212513
