My son was using the tv so I wanted to watch some apple tv+. I have a family subscription.
I logged in the browser version and when I want to watch. I askes for a a creditcard I do not have and never want (some weird verification).
Is there a way around this? Am I missing a setting?
Seems very customer unfriendly.
I spend about an hour total talking to 3 apple support ppl on both chat and phone.
It's not possible to watch online without a cc a.t.m.
Which I find very weird. I can watch Netflix, CrunchyRoll (paid) and Prime without any Creditcard verification.
But it's impossible to watch anything (it's not parent controll, because age restriction doesn't play a role) on appletv+ website.
I gave feedback, and the last support/advisor would make a internal case about this.
It's not the end of the world (we have bigger problems). But not really customer friendly.
Anyone who wants to watch on Linux or Windows. I am going the vm route. Hope that helps someone else.

It is part of the parental controls, e.g. so that the young ones won’t get TV-MA content unintentionally.

So my kids can watch anything they want on tv. But I can't watch in a browser when logged in. But (I found out) can setup parent controls without confirming my account. So my kids can do that also.....
Time to wast calling apple again ..... Why can't they get a normal support channel through mail or chat.
