ios 15 Personal Hotspot

On my iPhone 11 with iOS 15, when i push "Set Up Personal Hotspot" it says "To enable personal hotspot on this account, contact carrier."


My carrier is Google Fi. Google Fi support says the issue is with IOS 15. I downloaded IOS 15 yesterday. When I had iOS 14 i had no issues setting up a personal hotspot.

I checked with my carrier; it supports the personal hotspot feature. In fact, I used the personal hotspot feature regularly on this phone with this carrier all the time when I had IOS 14.x on the phone. The problem has only occurred this week when I downloaded IOS 15. I followed the steps you suggested to no avail. This is the message I receive:
