How to transfer a Clipper card from one iPhone to a new iPhone

Hi

I upgraded to a new iPhone 13 Pro! I have a balance on my virtual clipper cards that didn’t transfer over to my new iPhone. I need to erase the contents of my old iPhone but I don’t to lose the value on my Clipper cards. How can I proceed?

I tried following all the steps as others suggested including removing card from wallet on old device, wait for hours etc to no avail. I finally figured it out and got it working.

  1. Your clipper card should be under the list of "previous cards" together with other credit cards you had on your old iPhone when you press the "+" icon to add a new card to the wallet.
  2. If you don't see the clipper card on the list, try moving one of your credit/bank card as the default card in your wallet. Repeat step '1' until your clipper card shows up on the list. This is because your clipper card has a payment card associated with it when you first set up on the iPhone.
  3. Once it's on the list, you can just select the clipper card to add.

Hope this helps!

On Old iPhone

Open the Wallet app on your old iPhone and select the Clipper card you want to transfer.

Select the more options button “…” icon and tap “Remove This Card.”

Repeat for each Clipper card in the Wallet app.

On New iPhone

Open the Wallet app on your new iPhone and press the plus “+” icon.

Select “Clipper card” under Transit, tap Continue.

Select “Next” and follow prompts to add your Clipper card to Apple Wallet.

Had the same problem as OP. I tried deleting clipper card from the old iPhone. I selected the clipper card and tapped continue. The following prompt did not have a “next” option. Instead I see:

  1. Put value on a card (I assume this makes a new card)
  2. “Transfer existing card”

I attempted transferring an existing card and got a notification that the card is no longer active.

It seems like there should be an option to transfer card from existing Apple wallet, but I don’t see that anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

After you delete your card from your previous phone go into your new phone and press the + button. From there at the top you should see “previous cards” and you should be able to re-add your virtual clipper card. Please note there may be a delay in allowing you to add and it will error out. If after 24hrs it won’t allow you to add you will need to contact Clipper directly. Hope this helps!
