Siri mute no longer functions in CarPlay after ios15 update

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you'd like to turn off spoken direction in the Maps app, so we'd like to share a resource with you. Just to confirm, are you following the guidance from the "Turn spoken directions on or off" section of this article: Things you can do while following a route in Maps on iPhone? If so, Restart your iPhone. Sometimes restarting can fix minor issues. If restarting doesn't help go to Settings > General > CarPlay, then tap the car you've noticed this with. From there, select Forget This Car, then connect your iPhone to your car again.

Alright. iOS 15.0.1 was recently released, so it's a good idea to update your iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Were you able to check to see if a firmware update is available for your car?

Thanks for the reply. Just to confirm, are you referring to tapping the button in CarPlay on the screen of your car? Have you had a chance to go to forget the car in Settings, then set up CarPlay again? There are a few additional steps you can try here: If you need help with CarPlay, including checking with the car's manufacturer to see if there's a firmware update available for the system.
