Most if not all updates I get are for iPhone, Mac, or Safari. I don't ever remember doing a device support update. Is this notice recieved on Sept 202,1 a real thing:

It is coming Directly from Apple, so believe it to be true, trusted and reliable
One is very incorrect. Received this Notification Directly from Apple. It was downloaded and installed

Re non-descript "Device Support Update" device notification via System Preferences/Software Update (2018 MacBook Pro) -- if this is legitimate, then Apple Support would supply a documentation link. No such link documented with this plain-wrap 'update. This seems suspicious, and thus seems untrustworthy.
