Hi, did just that took the pro version ran the reports off and high cpu tasks vanished directly after getting the report ran, system back to normal. Nothing at all to suggest why the system said it was flat out on a kernel task for 43 hours even after restarts and big sur reinstalled. Was running at just over 1000% for all that time and just cleared itself. So ****** annoying that you cannot see exactly what the root user was doing for 2 days.

So problem solved not by me think we had divine intervention somewhere along the way.

Follow the advise from @ Luis Sequeira 1 and use the application suggested

Suggest downloading the Application  https://etrecheck.com  directly from a well Respected ASC Contributor

The application is free or paid from added features.

Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.

The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.

Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )

We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.

As per above will include any AntiVirus, Cleaners, Optimizers, UnInstallers etc.

Interesting the Universe be upon the computer - But and always a but - without a good look at both Hardware and Software via the suggested application - let us hope the issue does not return.

If it were my machine and it is not - would run the application just the same and make sure all gremlins are found.
