Safari not recording history from embedded browser launches
I found out recently that my child is able to circumvent having google searches be recorded to Safari browsing history by launching google search using a url that is in in their email (Gmail app).
My understanding is that when urls are clicked from within another app (Gmail, Slack, etc.) that the website is launched using WebView (or UIWebView or WKWebView). My question is why isn't this activity also tracked in browser history? Having this gap pretty much defeats the purpose for having browser history locked on the device (as my child's school district has done through device management) if you can do all your browsing history via this method.
