ipad ios15 Apple TV+ widget does not start episode

Hi All,

I have been making great use of the improved widget on my iPad Pro after updating to iOS 15 and for the most part they are pretty awesome. However I am having difficulty with the Apple TV+ widget. It does list my current, recent or upcoming shows listed which is great, but when I tap the episode I want to watch nothing happens. I'm not sure if anything should happen but if I compare it to the Apple Music Widget that shows me current and recent music, when I click on teh album/playlist it opens the Music app and starts playing the selected song(s).

Should the behaviour be the same in the TV+ widget?

Hi Rosseroony,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Tapping on the Apple TV widget should launch the app just as it does with the Apple Music app. Let's look into what's going on. Since noticing that it didn't launch the app, has the iPad been restarted?

Restart your iPad

You can also try removing the widget completely and re-adding it: Use widgets on your iPad. According to the article, " To delete a widget, touch and hold it, then tap Remove Widget. Tap Remove to confirm."
