Oracleeduta,

Thanks for those additional details and clarification!

Just to confirm, you're seeing that this PDF doesn't show the images with multiple apps that you attempt to view the PDF with, correct?

Since it seems like the PDF isn't working regardless of which device you save it to Files with, as well as with a third party app, it may be related to the PDF itself. Are you able to contact the creator of the PDF to confirm whether this information can be viewed with these other apps, and compatible with the Files app?

It may be best to confirm that all of your installed apps are up to date as well. For help with that, check out the following resource:

How to manually update apps on your Apple device

We hope that is able to allow you to view the PDF in the third party app, but if not then it would be best to contact the creator of the PDF to look into this in more detail as it doesn't seem to be isolated to just the Files app.

Have a great day!

Hello there Oracleeduta,

We understand that you're not able to see photos at times when you open PDF documents via the Files app, so let's look into this in more detail.

Are you saving these PDF documents to the Files app on your iPad, or are you saving the documents via a different device to Files? If you're saving to Files from a different device, are you able to see the photos there?

In addition to that question, if you close the PDF then open it again after viewing, does the photo appear at that time? Also, have you tried connecting to a different Wi-Fi network to see if this may be related to slow download speeds?

Check out the following resource for additional information on using the Files app to see if this may be related to the file type not being compatible as well.

Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this is able to help, and look forward to hearing back from you.

Cheers.

Hey Brandon,

thanks for your reply.

see, I have have tried everything like, importing the pdf from other devices to file as well as directly downloading it to the files. In every case the said set of images goes missing of the pdf when I open it using files app. While tha same pdf works fine when opened with adobe reader.

i have tried opening and closing the pdf many a times, Downloaded it with various Wi-Fi networks. Problem remains same…

one more thing to say, I use GoodNotes5 for my studies, when I open same pdf there the problem remains same i.e the same set of images go missing… I have also tried using notability… same issue there as well

I think the problem is with iPadOS somehow….

don’t know what to do… exams are approaching me like bullet train… and here I’m struggling with my notes/pdf…. Help needed!
