Imported Bullets and Numbered Styles from MS Word to Pages.

I converted a large MS Word document to Pages. Unfortunately, each MS Word bullet and number list was imported as a unique "Imported Style X" in the new Pages document. There are well over 1900 (X = 1 though 1984) different List Styles in the new Pages document. Each of the 1984 styles should be either Bullets or Numbered Styles in Pages. I am able to delete the Imported Style one by one and change the style to either Bullets or Numbered. I would like to somehow map all the imported bullet lists to Pages Bullets List Style and all the imported number lists to Pages Numbers List Style in bulk vs. one by one.

Pages was never designed to be a Word clone, and the translation into Pages document format is not promised by Apple to be perfect. If your Word document is using a list/bullet style that Pages cannot translate, you get the results you mention. Nothing you can do about this translation disaster using Pages.

If you want to open that Word document in its native document format, and one that preserves your 1900 + list styles, then skip Pages and use MS Word 16.53.1 (or later) for Mac. No translation mayhem.

Thank you VikingOSX. I was hoping for a simple resolution in my transition from MS Word to Pages. I no longer use Microsoft. Interestingly, there is only one style each for bullet and numbered lists in the original MS Word document, so I believe that Pages created the 1900+ styles during its translation, which is my misfortune. At any rate, I will live with this inconvenience rather than go back to MS Word.
