iPad and iPhone beeping continuously when fully charged

Just within the last week both my iPad and my iPhone have started beeping when they become fully charged. It's not a cord or charger issue because I'm using the same equipment I was before. I tried turning them off when plugging them in, but that doesn't work, and neither does turning the volume down. It's annoying during my waking hours, but even more so at night when it wakes everyone up. Why did this suddenly start this week (end of Sept, 2021) and how can I stop it. Both my devices!

Hello drpatticakes,

It seems like your iPad and iPhone continuously beep while connected to the charger, correct? We'd love to help.

To help us get a better understanding of the issue, we’d like to ask a few questions.

  1. Just to clarify, do your devices continue to beep once they're fully charged, and until they're disconnected from the charger?
  2. Does the issue continue if you use different chargers?
  3. Which software versions are your devices running? Here's how to find the exact version number: Find the software version on your iPhone, iPad or iPod

You can find some good information about charging iPhone here: Charge the iPhone battery

Thanks!
