new iPod touch will not restore. Keeps saying disabled.

My son bought an iPod touch 7th generation. He forgot his passcode. I cannot get it to restore.

First, try going to Apple’s passcode support page: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211080 If that didn’t work, you can try this: If you are in an iCloud family with your son, you should be able to access the find my app on iCloud.com or another Apple product and erase it. If you are not in a family with him, if he has any other devices signed in to his account, he can erase it remotely from the find my app as well. If he has no other devices signed in to his account or no account, I don’t know what else to do other than trying to connect it to iTunes. Please reply if you have any questions!
