Apple Watch Yahoo Mail Notifications

When I swipe down on the Notification Center on my watch I have every yahoo email notification. I’ve checked all settings but can’t figure out how to turn it off. It’s not the apple Mail app, it’s the yahoo mail app but I only have the app on my phone not watch. I’ve checked those settings but nothing available to turn off on the water. This started happening after the iOS 15 update. So annoying when I get hundreds of spam/sales emails

This is an issue caused by the Yahoo Mail app’s notification settings being configured incorrectly. To resolve this, go to:

Settings > Yahoo Mail > Notifications > select “Lock Screen” for the Alert Type & make sure Allow Notifications at the top is enabled on your iPhone Settings.

afterwards, on the Watch app, go to

Settings > Notifications > Yahoo Mail should now appear from the list. Disable it.

Next, go back to Settings > Yahoo Mail > Notifications on your iPhone Settings and deselect “Lock Screen” for alerts. This should resolve the issue and also will cause Yahoo Mail to disappear from the Watch app notification section ad well for some reason.
