PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE COMPACT OPTION! I can't see the webpage titles and the swipe to delete the tab function is flawed. Just give us back a compact view and the x to close the tab. We don't all have iPads. PLEASE! I have always had my tabs set a specific way and I am so upset by this. It seems small but seriously, I have a system and this one DOES NOT WORK. I can't keep my tabs in order anymore, I'm closing them when trying to read the titles and I have no idea which one is the most recent. This is truly causing me emotional distress. Please bring it back.

I just updated to 15.3 and boy do I wish I didn't. This new layout for Safari tabs is horrible and waste so much time, not at all useful. And I also can't put a name in the search bar of my text messages and have it pull up text threads. Who knows what else, still looking at it all! Please make it a choice to bring back the stacked windows in Safari!

It’s very disappointing that this wasn’t properly beta tested by a broad spectrum of age groups. As an older user (been a loyal Apple customer for decades) my eyesight isn’t what it once was even with expensive glasses, so the grid layout is extremely challenging. I’ve given direct feedback to Safari/Apple requesting a reversion to stacked tabs as an option. Let’s hope they listen and have a bit more consideration for their customers who have disabilities in the future.

Good for you. Are you also happy with the new functionality? If so, it would appear that you're the sole person on this entire thread who is. Again, if so, that's great. What I believe most people here want, is the option to revert.

We're all individuals with individual preferences but the vast majority of people that I've spoken to about this were happy with the way things were.

As I said in my original post, I have given my feedback to Safari/Apple (as I'm sure many others have) and hope that it is heard, otherwise I will have to seek an alternative remedy.

Honestly, I never noticed much difference. And yes, people are less likely to post positive feedback than negative so, you're always going to have the threads biased that way. And most people will get used to new, minor changes like this quite quickly and forget things were ever different.

There are lots of other browsers available. Apple is perfectly happy for you to use one of those.
