Reconnecting AirPods to new iPhone

Hello I'm having trouble connecting my AirPods to my iPhone. I just got a new phone and my AirPods weren't connect like the should so they told me to disconnect them from my phone and reconnect them. Now that I try to reconnect them they won't connect. What can I do now to reconnect them to my phone.

My AirPods will not connect to iPhone X or iPad Pro Anybody else have an issue where airpods dont auto connect? The only way they will connect is by deleting them off Bluetooth and reconnecting but that only lasts until I place them in charging case and to re use them after I have to go through process again of deleting them off phone? AirPods near new not able to reconnect after deleting them off my phone i deleted my AirPods from my phone now cannot add them back as was .. my Bluetooth doesn’t recognize them what’s the trick to reconnect regards Paul
