What means the message "another device is being used with my Apple ID"?

What does it mean when I get a pop up message that says another device is being used with my Apple ID and phone number for FaceTime? It gives me the info that it’s my MacBook Pro , which is at home. Does this mean that someone is getting on my computer ? Like a nosy boyfriend perhaps to read my messages??

Sometimes those notifications can pop up unexpectedly. I have had it happen when a device I haven't used in a long time was turned on, and even then it took part of a day before it appeared.

If you're worried about your boyfriend using your computer account, change your password. Set him up with his own account.
