I know that there were some major changes in itunes when the Catalina OS launched. Since I use itunes in my work and can't afford any serious problems, I'd be grateful to hear from those who were using it before Catalina, and made the switch into Catalina. The pros and cons.

Moving from iTunes to music was seamless. All playlists were transferred. The only real issue was missing artwork.

Can you tell me of your person experience, migrating from iTunes to those replacement apps? I'd be especially interested in the treatment of music, and videos. Did it keep playlists, ratings, and check marks unclicked?
I imported a lot of my old CDs into iTunes from the days before iTunes existed. Do you have any experience with this? Did it keep or remove those types of music?
