You can magnify the iPhone screen with Display Zoom. Go to Settings > Display and Brightness > Tap View (below Display Zoom) > Select Zoomed, then tap Set. Your iPhone will be rebooted. Magnified mode displays larger controls, so the icons on the main screen will also be larger.
