How to find and delete duplicates from iCloud [not photos]

I have quite a number of documents [not photos - text files, Numbers etc] in iCloud some of which are duplicates of what's on one of my Macs ==I use TidyUp to search and find dupes on my various computers and it works fine but apparently iCloud needs to be mounted on desktop for it to be searched = I suppose also for Finder to include it in a search.

Is that right and if so, how do I mount iCloud on the desktop == in the Finder window it's right there on the L side as iCloud Drive = is that enough???

I'm on Mojave still.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Most of your iCloud files will appear on your computer in the left menu under iCloud. If you want a good duplicate search, download all of your files first. You may also want to consider enabling iCloud desktop and documents (if you haven't already) to keep all of your files and devices in sync. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT206985
