Netflix app on Apple TV 3

I am unable to sign in to Netflix on my Apple TV 3 (model A1427). Netflix error is ATV-ui92: It says that my user/pw is not in their records. But it is my correct acct info and I can sign in to Netflix on my computer without issue. I can also sign in to other apps on the apple tv without a problem (prime video).

I have read a bunch of posts and called Netflix and tried their suggestions, including everything on the netflix help page for error ui92:

-changed Netflix password and tried again

-updated apple tv (says it’s up to date)

-restarted apple tv

-unplugged apple tv and left for a few minutes before plugging in and trying again

-reset all settings on apple tv

-I heard that entering the password on the Remote in control center might work, but I cannot connect to my Apple TV with my iphone (doesn’t show up on remote, just says “Searching...”—seems that the ctrl center remote won’t work with ATV3, but there’s no longer the TV Remote app on the app store)

Nothing has worked. Maybe there just needs to be an update to the Netflix app on ATV3?

Can anyone help me?

Netflix Error ATV-ui92 - Netflix Help Center

Passwords are case-sensitive for any service, so verify that you aren’t flipping lower case and upper case accidentally.

A device reset should be a last resort, but a functional way to get it working again. Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support

Known devices are also managed for your account. Try resetting there too. Sign out of all devices - Netflix

Else contact Netflix Support to see if they can reset some properties for your account.

Unfortunately I don’t see anything like that on Netflix. There is “Manage download devices” (devices with downloaded content—there’s a limit—not my current problem) and “Activate a device” (for devices that require/provide activation codes upon sign-in—also doesn’t seem to be relevant right now). The atv also doesn’t show up on streaming history because I’ve never even been able to sign in! Thanks for the suggestion

I'm having the same issue, done the same things (several times), additionally:

rebooted router & "modem" or whatever this thing Verizon calls

changed time zones to manual, NYC

rebooted

reset

restored

And I can't find any portal in Netflix to change Appletv as a device.

Of course, I'm getting the "Netflix says call Apple"/"Apple says call Netflix" circus.

Everything else streams fine from Apple tv.

Same, and Netflix says it’s Apple’s fault which doesn’t really track since the app is made by/belongs to Netflix. This has rendered my 3rd Gen virtually useless, which is very frustrating. You can’t airplay to the device either because the app already exists on the device and it can’t be deleted. I’ve tried so many things and it’s just not working. The only thing I haven’t tried is signing out of all the other devices/apps and try to sign in again on this one solely to see if that helps. I may yet try this but right now I’m annoyed so I’ve given up troubleshooting at this point.

I haven’t been able to get it myself, someone else did above but I’m not sure how many times they tried. I’ve unplugged mine completely and am not going to bother with it anymore. It’s pretty much not worth it due to this issue at this point. Maybe they’ll fix at some point? I hope so it’s still okay otherwise just this is beyond frustrating.

Having the same issue. Have reset the Apple TV, reset modem, unplugged cords waited 30 seconds, looked to make sure software was up to date on Apple TV, and tried many many times to login in with pass and email. I have double checked password and email is correct by signing in to Netflix on other devices. Very frustrating. Amazon is working fine but Netflix just throws up the error code each time ….. please help

I had the same problem! I thought that i just typed the wrong username or password ! But i found out that iwasnt the case!

i just fixed mine! Just literaly now! And im so happy!

what i did is

my apple remote is broken so i replaced it with bluetooth keyboard and iphone remote!

theres something wrong with my keyboard when im typing so its hard to type but is still doable

so i always use my iphone remote when it comes to typing like inputing my email or pw etc

so instead of using my phone to type

i used my bluetooth keyboard! Then i got in!
