Contact icon color meaning
What does it mean when a contact icon on my address book changed to orange and another one changed to yellow?

- You mentioned that the color changed for different people saved in Contacts, but when did you first notice this occurring?
- Are we correct in saying that every contact has a different color for the background of their contact icon?

- We also see from your post you have iOS 14 installed on your iPhone 11, but the latest is iOS 15.0.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
