Convert YouTube to mp3 in iTunes
iTunes won't accept YouTube to mp3 conversions anymore. Is there any way around this? Up until a week ago, this wasn't a problem.

Once on the website there's a tab at the top that let's you convert to mp3. (I've tried converting to both mp4 and mp3 and they both work with iTunes). So far, so good! Good luck!

Hi,
A number of people have posted about problems with mp3. Do the tracks play in QuickTime?
Double clicking, drag and drop to song view, add automatically to computer, selecting track and open with.. , and selecting menu > import all work for me.
Jim
It's easy to solve your problem. Just use a video transcoder to convert YouTube to the format supported by iTunes such as MP3, and then upload converted files to iTunes. You can try these YouTube to MP3 converters.
You are my hero!!! I have not been able to download my Youtube to MP3 songs in a few weeks since the website went through changes. The new website you posted worked PERFECTLY for me. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for sharing the wealth of knowledge.
I just go to wherever it's downloaded (for me it's at the bottom of the page - I use Chrome) and drag it into the playlist. I don't know how to do it any other way so hopefully that will work for you. I guess you could go into Finder, look under Downloads, and drag it from there. Good luck!
did the site ask you to add a chrome extension when you used it? i'm having this issue too and when i used the site you recommended another tab popped up asking me to add something to chrome and i'm just worried about getting a virus!
In February 2022 nothing works anymore. Neither the converter to M4A. But it doesn't seem like a good idea to divulge music download solutions on Apple's own website. It is obvious that they will block everything.
Hello! The converter to M4A is not working anymore to iTunes. Do you suggest an alternative?
But remember that you must buy the songs on Apple's iTunes, not download them for free on the internet 🙂 So Apple will block all your presented solutions 🙂
Hello SamJaxc, it still doesn't work. It downloads to MP3, but then iTunes doesn't accept the file. When trying to convert to m4a, the following error appears:
Access to rr2---sn-i3belnll.googlevideo.com was refused

I have iTunes for Windows. I used to be able to add the converted mp3s and mp4s to iTunes. Now I cannot do it. I tried the converter you recommend and it won’t allow me to add to my iTunes. Did Apple made any changes to prevent this from happening?
Jim - the songs do not play in QuickTime. I am a technical idiot(!) so unfortunately your answer was like gibberish to me. I need literal step-by-step instructions. Thanks for trying to help me.
Yeehaw! I found a different mp3 converter that works with iTunes so problem solved! (For now)
What was the converter you found?
Thank you so much for your help! I have been messing with this for a while and its very frustrating! That site worked so thank you again
Believe me I was desperate to find a website so I tried about 10-15 before I found this one. It's still working for me and I'm glad it's working for you!
