iPhone 13 Pro battery draining when turned off

Hi,

Recently I facing my 13 pro battery drain issue when completely turning off my phone. The phone drop about between 1 to 4% after I on back my phone in the next day. Example when I sleep I turn off my phone battery was 85%, next day morning I on back my phone become 81%. After that every time I turning off my phone and on it back will drop between 1 to 4% battery. I contact apple support they said is normal. So is normal or my battery really have issue? Thanks

It will take typically a few % in my experience to go through the boot up process so yes it is normal. If you leave it turned off twice as long and you lose 8% then its a different matter.

I wonder why you keep doing this. Recommended practice is to charge phones all through the night every night. it needs that to calibrate Optimised Charging and to do housekeeping tasks.. Powering off should be a once a month thing or to clear glitches.

There is almost no reason to need to turn off an iPhone, unless you need it to restart for some reason.

Like LD150 suggests, the best thing you can do for your iPhone battery is to plug your phone in to charge when you go to bed, leaving it plugged in all night EVERY night. If you use iCloud for backup (highly recommended), and Optimized Battery Charging (Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Optimized Battery Charging) and are connected to Wifi, your phone will backup, charge to 80%, then once it gets used to your charging routine, it will finish charging to 100% just before you typically waken in the morning.

It is truly the smart way to manage charging on your phone.
