Can we get back Siri's connection to email?

Effective 9/14/21 Siri no long has a connection to email. In the past Siri could open email, could send email, and could read email. Now it can do none of that. What happened? Did Apple disconnect this functionality by accident when it enabled iOS 15? (The functionality disappeared the day before I updated to iOS 15). I need this Siri/email functionality back ! ! !

Wondering which forums you meant, and who is saying it cannot be fixed by the user.

If it is Apple Community forum-specialists, or the statements are from Apple, well and good.

Else, if hardly anyone has actually contacted Apple Support about the situation,

there may not be sufficient information coming in to provide an incentive for a "fix",

or ... a new support article on how to get Siri working with e-mails again.

If you wish, you can contact Apple Support by clicking the "Get Support" link at top right on this discussion page,

They ,may be able to help.

or

Apple have a feedback page on their website:

I had two very long phone calls with Apple support. Essentially they told me Siri cannot do this (read or send emails)... then I pointed out I've been doing it for years. So they both put me on hold, the told me that "Siri can no longer do this." Accessing email is just one of the things that Siri can no longer do... for example, it can no longer play your voicemail. No one seems to know whether this change was made on purpose or by accident, but it would sure be nice if these Siri capabilities were re-instated. (One of the suggestions was that I turn off and the turn Siri back on again, and re-train it. Of course this made no difference.).

Can we get back Siri's connection to email?
