Red light by my iphone sensor

There is a red light on my sensor every 5 or 10 sec, why is that so?

Selloo_K,

The questions we're asking are in an attempt to understand where this light is. You say it's by your sensor, but your device has a few sensors. As we stated, there are a few located by the receiver, and we were wondering if this is where the light you're seeing is coming from.

If you're not noticing an issue, other than the light, with your iPhone then chances are this is indeed just a sensor working.

We don't want this conversation to cause confusion or frustration though. You can reach out to Apple and work with them to get additional information or you can also meet with an Apple authorized service tech to have you device checked out. We're including links for both below.

Hello Selloo_K,

We understand that a red light is visible on your iPhone ever 5-10 seconds.

Can you tell us where on your device you’re seeing this light? For example, by the receiver are the Face ID, Proximity, and Ambient light sensors. Are you able to see this red light just when looking at your iPhone or do you see it when your iPhone is facing a mirror or you’re taking a video?

Thanks.
