Turn off auto loop when recording midi in GarageBand

Every time I recorded a new midi region in GarageBand 10.2.0, it would create the new region as a loop -maddening! I finally found the solution buried in a YouTube post by @luminarymedia, but it was in response to a comment.

To toggle looping as the default midi recording mode:

1. deselect all regions in your arrangement by clicking in an empty area of your arrangement
2. hit the letter L on your keyboard
