Credit cards declined in India since 1 October 2021for icloud subscription.

My two credit cards which are in good standing are declined according to Apple for icloud subscriptions. Apparently there is some government regulations on auto-renewals in India taking effect this month. I wonder if the issue is related to this. Is there anything that the user should do differently from 1 Oct 2021 onwards?
