Cannot update iPad Pro (10.5-inch) to iPadOS 15.0.1, can't delete the update to retry, can't update with iMac. Anyone else having issues?

I've repeatedly tried updating to the new iPadOS 15.0.1 and cannot get this done. I've tried deleting the update and retrying, and can't seem to delete the update. I cannot update the iPad with my iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019) which is running macOS Big Sur 11.6. I've reset network setting on the iPad and eventually reset the iPad completely starting over... it still will not update to iPadOS 15.0.1
