Mac Pro Late 2013 - very long start up

I've noticed that my Mac Pro takes about 7 to 9 minutes to start up. I removed all login in items except Dropbox, disconnected all external drives and still have same problem. hard drive is 2TB and I have 117GB left in space. Any help on troubleshooting?

I suggest you boot into Internet Recovery, which leaves your drive free to be repaired completely, and run Disk Utility [Directory] Repair. Choose "show all devices", and run on the physical device, and all Volumes showing in turn.

Internet Recovery manages this trick my creating over 25 RAM-disks to hold its temporary items, so the drive need not be working to run Internet Recovery.

When done, be sure to "Set Startup Disk" back to the boot drive before you Exit/Restart.

I had a similar issue with an older MacBook. When I check on the hardware status I noticed that it only showed up with half the RAM that should have been available. In my case it ended up being caused by one of the ram slots going bad on the logic board. Since it was a dual processor it would not operate correctly with only one slot available even if there was still plenty of RAM available to run basic operations. Does all the RAM you should have show up correctly?

It is always preferable to install MacOS from fundamental sources rather than restore MacOS itself from your backup.

Erase and reinstall macOS - Apple Support

On first run after re-installing MacOS, point Setup Assistant to the connected Time Machine drive, DO NOT enter User Account data manually.

This method is preferable to using Migration Assistant, because it does not clutter your Mac with an additional user account.

Ok here is what I did:

Ran disk utility repair - no issues found

Zapped Pram - No improvement

Booted up in Internet recovery - ran disk utility on all devices within the drive - no issues found

Booted in Diag mode - no issues found

Booted in verbos mode - I see text on screen but how do I save this for someone to look at?

Last booted in safe mode machine crashed panic- I have report

As I look at the machine booting, the white line gets to the middle and thats where it stays for at least 9 minutes.

The Hard Drive is an Aura X2 Pro as I upgraded to that a year ago, it always ran fine. The disk is 1.92TB and I have 164.25GB free

OK I was told by the makers of the drive to erase it and restore from a back up.

The reason this can improve the situation is that when new data are available, Bad Blocks can be taken out of circulation, and only good blocks remain.

Drives have a private stash of blocks reserved for use as spares, so your drive will not appear to 'shrink' when blocks are spared out.
