How to fix accessory may not be supported.

I get this message on my late 2018 IPad Pro. It pops up every few minutes and I cannot do anything till I hit the ok button. Then I am good for another few minutes. This is all when I am not connected to any cable or any BT connection.

I have tried all the suggestions out there. Cleaned and inspected USB-C port, Off/On, Reset, full reset, BT off, Airplane mode on. I did a complete erase and restore (that is a lot of fun with a 512GB iPad Pro that is 75% full.

I finally figured out how to do a DFU….. that is tricky. When I got everything loaded again….. It looked like it fixed it!!! It was fine for about 3-4 hours and then it started again. This morning it happened a couple times and has again been fine for the past 4 hours.

Anybody have a tried and true method to fix this?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 13

See >>> If you see an ‘Accessory may not be supported’ alert - Apple Support

Do you have a Smart (folio) keyboard?

This alert is typical of a faulty folio keyboard. The electrical connections that pass though the flexible fabric hinges typically fracture - this usually resulting in errors and/or the on-screen notification that you see.

The Smart folio keyboard itself is not repairable. The only remedy is replacement of the keyboard. As you appear to be within your one-year limited warranty, you need to contact Apple Support or your retailer.

Alternatively, you can initiate a support case using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your device, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

A further alternative is to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store, where the technicians will be delighted to assist. When visiting the Genius Bar, a reservation is recommended:
